How many people live like this?
With eyes that cannot see? And minds that do not care? modeling, concept, make up and postprocessing: me photographer Sasha And the title is from the film of Stanley Kubrick, however my image has nothing to do with it. Daily DeviationGiven 2009-02-22Eyes wide shut. by *Nirelleth is a thought provoking piece that is true in it's meaning, we turn a blind eye to the world and see what's only convenient for us to see. (Featured by `FaMz) CommentsI love the eye make up. The black and red throughout the image flows together nicely

Vision: I like the idea behind it, and I like that the title you chose simplifies the piece for the viewer. Otherwise it might just be another picture of some girl holding a picture of her own face. ^.^ They compliment each other well. The color's all work wonderfully together, except the blue right on your right hand. Because it is so different from the rest of the shot its a little bit distracting. [ I would have kept the right but maybe photo shopped the color to match everything else. ]
Technique: I like how the actual photograph is reworked in photo shop to perfect the skin and tone. It looks more commercial and well retouched. turning the contrast and levels up for the rework helps and gives such a nice dynamic next to your actual skin and dark hair. Usually the darkness of the background and the hair meshing together would bother me but here because your hands holding up the image splits off that darkness from the rest of the image it works alright. Just beware of that in the future.
The makeup is a wonderful concept and different. I love how it and the lipstick compliment each other so wonderfully. [ I did wonder if the snap shot was retouched and the underlying shot not.. on purpose?.. to provide a good dynamic? ] If not I would photo shop the underlying image a bit more just to make it look more polished.
Overall Nice piece, Thanks for Sharing
